Compensated spectacle lenses for children
At all Optikos pasaulio vision and hearing centres, you can benefit from the reimbursement provided by the State Patients’ Fund (SPC).
Spectacle lenses reimbursed by the SCA
Spectacle lenses may also be reimbursed for children if the ophthalmologist determines that the visual acuity of the better-seeing eye with full correction does not exceed 0.5 visual acuity units.
New! From 01.04.2024 , most of the cost of spectacle lenses, i.e. even 70%, is reimbursed for all children up to 7 years of age, regardless of visual acuity.

Remark. For children up to 7 years of age whose corrected visual acuity of the better-seeing eye does not exceed 0.5 visual acuity – 100% of the basic cost of spectacle lenses.

To purchase reimbursable spectacle lenses, you must provide:
- proof of identity of the child and parent/guardian;
- a medical discharge/referral letter (form E027 or 027/a ) from an ophthalmologist with the disease code – Z46.0. The medical certificate/referral is valid for 180 days. We invite you to visit your nearest Optikos pasaulio vision centre and we will help you choose the most suitable spectacle lenses.
