What are modern reading glasses?

Reading glasses

Physiologically, between the ages of 40 and 45, presbyopia causes the eyes to lose the ability to see anything close up with clarity. This is when most people need their first reading glasses.

This is often referred to by clients as “short-hand syndrome”. When your hands become “too short” to read fine print, it’s time to see an eye care professional who will assess your visual acuity and choose the best spectacle lenses for you.

Standard reading glasses are worn at a distance of 40 cm, but if you want to be able to see comfortably while working on the computer or doing other activities at a limited distance (up to 2 m), choose modern reading glasses and forget about looking through the top of your glasses!
