6 steps to full adaptation to the NEW PROGRESSIVE EQUINE

1. Give up your old glasses during the adaptation period.

You should wear your new progressive glasses every day, from morning to night, until you learn to discover all the viewing areas

2. It is recommended to start at close and medium distances:

First, try reading – lower your eyes and look through the lower part of the lens. Then choose an object a metre away (computer, TV, etc.) and try looking through the middle part of the lens.

3. Looking into the distance:

It is recommended to do this exercise in a larger space or outdoors. Use the upper part of the lens for the distance. First, try to see objects 5-6 metres away, then shift your gaze to objects in the distance (a signboard, a house on the other side of the road, etc.)

4. Looking sideways:

With progressive glasses, you need to turn your head towards the object you want to see. Although progressive glasses are balanced to see at different distances, it is important to remember that looking over the edge of the lens will not give a good view.

5. When climbing stairs, we are used to keeping our eyes down.

Please note that when climbing stairs with progressive glasses, you need to lower your head and look through the middle part of the lens for medium distance vision.

6. Driving.

Once the first steps of adaptation have been achieved, you can try driving the car. It is recommended that you choose a shorter and less strenuous route for this task, as your full attention will be focused on adapting to your new progressive spectacles.
